I don't think that people who want this type of therapy to be accessible think it isn't a big deal. If they didn't think it was a big deal they wouldn't want to make sure that people have access to it.

In reference to Reuters, I would hope that people who de-transitioned are being listened to. I'm surprised that a doctor would use Tiktokers as a source for their research though... that probably wouldn't pass an Ethics Internal Review Board because there is nothing verifiable about someone saying something on TikTok.

All research has people that drop out of studies and can't be reached and some people for who a treatment does not work. But when it works for over 97% of the people who do it that's not a reason to make it inaccessible which is exactly what is being legislated in ultra-conservative states right now....
