I've never explored that distinction between female and woman. It makes sense to me. What I like about your article is that it is exploratory and looking for compromise whereas so often the conversations I've seen on this topic are "one or the other" from both sides. The vocabulary we have available to us is so important in shaping our understanding of and interactions in the world.
